Coucou,

A while ago I did art journal page with butterflies coming out of the door. I loved this idea I came up with and so I decided to give it another go, changing it at the same time as much as I could. I will post a photo of old butterfly version at the end of this post, just for comparison:) But I think this page, apart from the obvious idea of open door and “things” flying out of it it’s quite different. I wanted to do more “cleaner” page- with less things happening on it, more white space. And so this is it- another page inspired by moodbord in Our Mixed Media Moods group.

I decided to use this time Lindy’s Magicals: Hibiscus Rose, Luscius Lime & Pineapple Paradise. I find it still hard to work with bright colors- if I am not careful enough, I can create a mud:) But this time it all worked perfectly. Just for the door and under the sentiment I used Dylusions spray: Campso Teal. The birds were all fussy cut as I do not own any dies to make them, so that process took me a while:) I also slightly sprinkled them with above mentioned Magicals, but in overall they are black from Archival Ink. I used Glossy Accents to add some dots on the rainbow cloud. The sentiment comes from 7 Dots Studio Word Stickers- Dreamscapes. I used also masking tape to make the sentiment pop up a little more and some old book page with pieces of turquoise thread which I placed inside the door. The door also has a handle;)

As I had  a lot of leftovers with Magicals from when I was painting the birds, I used this leftover paper to make an ICAD- but I’ll speak about it in the next post;)
