Art journal page with meaning

Hi everyone,
I want to share with you today an art journal page I did with the techniques I don’t usually use. There is a lot of collaging with either gelli printed paper, tissue paper or more-less random scraps I found lying around. The end result is a page which burst with colors! I wanted to calm it down a little so I added delicate layer of gesso, some stamping and wrote the sentiment which is very close to my heart and which sums up the way I want to live my life and create- “When writing the story of your life, don’t let anyone else hold your pen”.
And here is the list of products I used:
Gesso by Finnabair
3D gloss gel by Finnabair to glue the scraps and tissues together
Scraps, gelli printed paper, pieces of tissues
Posca pens: white and black to do the outlines, wording, doodling
Docrafts stamp (DCE 907122), background stamping (Creative Embellishments-dots, script stamp from Paper Poetry and other stamps), Archival Ink
Of course white splatters all over the page with Pebeo acrylic paint
See you soon!
With this project I am entering June challenge “Words with meaning” on Stamps and Stencils blog
And one lest close-up:
