In the world of pink- tags

Hi everyone,
It’s so gloomy outside. And raining. At least no snow for now:) So I decided to pick myself up by creating 3 tags in pink:) It’s apparently a happy color, not at all my favourite, but at the end it’s nice to do sth different. It’s my DT project for More Mixed Media Challenge blog:)
Firstly I did my faces- I used Sculpey Flexible Push Mold (Art Doll Faces) and some modeling paste. After drying I painted them with gold and cooper InkaGold paints. I gessoed the tags and did some stenciling with texture paste by Pebeo (although now the stenciling is not really visible:) I put few layers of masking tape , some gauze and pieces of builder’s tape on one side of the tag. Afterwards I added randomly some coarse grain texture paste and Mini Art Stones and Art Stones from Finnabair ( to stick them together I used Medium Gel by Pebeo). Now the colouring part- I used 3 Magicals from Lindy’s Stamp Gang: Hibiscus Rose, Plumeria Pink and a touch of Autumn Maple Crimson. As embellishments I used some sisal, silver metal wire, glass cabochons, 3D stars and a big white styrofoam balls. I placed the faces in a beer and champagne caps and on the cameo which I made earlier with modeling paste (all were covered beforehand with gesso). I stamped 2 butterflies (Visible Image – Own Kind of Beautiful) on the calque paper, cut them in a half and glued onto the tags. Splashes of black were created with black acrylic paint from Pebeo and the words comes from Tim Holtz’ Idea-ology stickers. I added few small touches of gold (on the wings of butterflies, caps and on the edges of tags), added dark pink ribbon and my happy tags are done:)
