Found objects layout- Grow

Hi everyone,
I am back with a fun project- canvas style layout made with found objects 🙂 As I pop up regularly to PaperArtsy blog, I’ve seen this great challenge theme and beautiful projects created by the designers. I absolutely love the little hanger  created by Kim Dellow with found objects and her new stamp set.  I love the idea of doing something out of nothing, so I gave it a try. OK, to be perfectly honest I used some craft products- I wanted a vibrant color  and some nice  texture as well. To glue the objects I also needed hot glue gun and 3D Gel Medium (by Finnabair). The base for my work was actual cardboard from some packaging on which I sprinkled Lindy’s Magicals: Caribbean Blue, Ocean Breeze Blue and Tibetan Poppy Teal. However, after drying them, I decided that I need even more intense color, so  I added Dylusions spray- London Blue. Finally happy with the effect of those 4 colors working so perfectly together, I applied a generous layer of Clear Cracle Texture Paste by Finnabair and let it dry for a few hours. In the meantime I ate a looooot of pistachios, kept the shells and painted them with fallowing sprays: Dylusions- Funky Fuchsia, Vibrant Turqoise (leaves) and Starbursts by Lindy Stamp Gang: Witch’s Potion Purple. After drying the pistachios I added some shading with Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics- Snowflake ( by PaperArtsy) and with the same paint I added splashes onto the dry already cardboard. I added some stamping with PaperArtsy stamp ( Eclectica, EKD03) and some of my own texture stamps. I used white thread, made it greenish with Water Soluble Oil Pastels (by Prima) to serve as flower stems. Pink wire served me to do the borders and lettering. I did some doodling on the leaves and in the middle of each flower I placed the top part of small, dry poppies. Small hanger added at the back of the project and there is something nice to hang in my daughter bedroom:)
With this project I am entering PaperArtsy challenge- Found Objects
And few more close- ups:
I kept trying to figure out what you made the petals from – pistachio shells, I never would have guessed. I love to see what everyone is coming up with their “Found Objects”.
