Card with watercolors and masking

Hi everyone,
I rarely make cards, although I used to do it more. But today I will show you a card made not on purpose but as a test:) To do it this time I used watercolors and masking tape (or rather washi tape). The tape surprisingly held quite well. I think maybe too well, as I torn small piece of paper while removing it:) And I should have known better having read the tutorial from Wanda Hentges on PaperArtsy blog. She did the same mistake but managed with such a grace to save her work! I love the end effect of her layout – colors are lovely and so is the masking technique. So I decided to do the same and cover my small, yet visible tear:) On the separate piece of paper I stamped few flowers and colored them with watercolors. The stamps and watercolors are of the cheap kind- I am just starting slowly to buy nicer things:) I fussy-cut them, glued them to the card and distressed the edges of the paper which was placed on the card. Was there ever a tear? Impossible to see:)
As it is a completely new type of card for me and done with masking technique, I will post it for a challenge on the PaperArtsy blog – it is not my fault I post there so much!:) BTW they have a new products coming- new Infusions and really amazing stamps by Kim Dellow amongst other cool products:)
Hope you’ll like my “test card”:)
Fab creation, I am also looking forward to seeing the new Infusions!!
