The night before Christmas- animal layout
Once again I am sharing with you another wintery layout. Probably one of my favourites:) There is a picture of wolf in the snow and it gives me such a nice feeling- beautiful, proud animal in his natural habitat- that’s something I really love. I am actually afraid of wolves, but I find them also fascinating and gracious. It’s definitely an animal worth a layout!
I’ve chosen gorgeous scrapbooking paper from 7 Dots Studio collection Yuletide- Chestnuts. As always I am starting with priming my page with clear gesso (Finnabair) to avoid warping. Then I added some stenciling (my own stencil) with modeling paste (Pebeo). Then comes the time to add some color and I choose Lindy’s Gang, of course:) I added few sprays, drying them after each application: Time Travel Teal, Freaky Franken Lime, Tibetan Poppy Teal & Afternoon Delight Denim.
The chipboard I used was covered with two embossing powders: Lindy’s Obviously Black EP and WOW! Opaque Pastel Blue EP. To add two colors I usually emboss the element with embossing pad, then sprinkle unevenly one color, remove the excess and sprinkle another color of EP, than heat dry. I love the extra dimensions added thanks to use of two or more EP. Afterwards I added some stamping and I used two stamps from Carabelle Studio: Scribbled Stars with gold ink and Guirlands avec des ronds with black Archival Ink. Around the picture I added tags and pieces of torn paper from Paint Chips collection by 7 Dots Studio. I cut out the border from the tag I used and I glued it upside-down on the picture . The rest is just a matter of placing the embellishment around the focal point: doily, silver metal stars, pieces of ornament cut out with the border puncher, leaves, sequins, Mini Art Stones (Finnabair), cabochons, pieces of string, etc. At the end I added some splatter with white paint and the sentiment from Yuletide Word Stickers by 7 Dots Studio.
Have a look at some close-ups:
See you soon!
