Look up to the sky- scrapbooking layout
Today, or rather yesterday, I did my sunset layout. I came across this beautiful picture of a small port in the evening hours. I used gorgeous, color-rich paper from the 7 Dots Studio (collection Domestic Goddess- Proudly Handcrafted) and a large selection of Lindy’s sprays and Magicals. I did not added too many embellishments on purpose- firstly I like the idea of less is more (which is not always true, I agree), but secondly because I wanted to keep the paper and the added colors as intact as possible to extends the idea of the sky portrayed on the picture.
I always treat my paper with gel medium to avoid warping. Afterwards I added quite a lot of stamping, mostly from Viva Las Vegas stamps (by DeeDee Catron) but also PaperArtsy stamp by Kim Dellow and script stamping. I mixed modeling paste (Pebeo) with Lindy’s Starburst Rizzo Rowdy Red and Shimmery Goodness by The Crafter’s Workshop and applied it to the TCW stencil- Hard Textures. After drying it gives a pearlescent feel to it. Next, I applied Lindy’s onto the paper- Starbursts: Hag’s Wart Orange, Voodoo Violet Blue (limited edition), Rizzo’s Rowdy Red, Rudolph’s Nose Red and Magicals: Blazing Black and Hibiscus Rose. There is some black transfer foil applied to the background (by Rico Design) and some floral rub-ons. I also added Martha Stewart’s microbeads ( mixed with Soft Gloss Gel by Finnabair) and black thread with orange beads. Background under the picture was done with scrap paper pieces and Hazy Days tags. The chipboard frame was embossed with WOW! Primary Purple Orchid EP and Izink Relief Caviar EP ( I love mixing two colors of EP on the sameembellishement, I think it adds more pops to the final look). And, of course, the word stickers from Cotton Candy Dreams to finish the layout. Glossy Accents by Tim Holtz- I forgot about them and I’ve added few drops:) Need to be less forgetful;)
Hope you’ll like it. To me it looks so dreamy…:)
