Altered dream catcher- Love
This is my last entry to the ITAC’17 challenge:) It’s been a fun!
Again I went out of my comfort zone (which is definitely journaling:). But I do love dream catchers! I’ve already made a few, and this one I decided to make differently. I worked around coiled wire into which I interlaced pieces of muslin sewn together with gause (at the end of this post there is a small tutorial on how to color gause using Lindy’s Magicals- here I used Ocean Breeze Blue, beautiful, calm color:) The sewing got a little lost there, but there are still pieces of it and of black thread visible on the pictures. I added small beads to the wire, sprinkled some Art & Mini Art Stones from Finnabair onto the fabric, added two children from Ephemera Pack by Tim Holtz and chipboards with word Love from 13@arts. On top of die-cut leaves there are Glass Beads Platinum, also by Finnabair. The children symbolize to me, maybe just because I am a mum, the future and all what is good in the world. I gave them wings, so they can fly and make their dreams come true. Dream catcher symbolizes to me the World and all of our dreams and the wire joins all of us together- that was the requirements of the challenge and this is my altered take on it:)
One more close-up:)
As promised here is the small photo tutorial on how to make a spray from Magicals:) Which is sometimes very, very useful:)
Take care and see you soon:)
