Just an old soul- art journal page

Hi there,
Today it’s a bright layout day:) One of my favourite art journal pages created so far. I have no idea why it speaks to me so much, but it does, and I really love it:)
I created it without any specific idea in my head. The color combo was actually an accident- I still feel like I am new to all this art world and don’t feel comfortable mixing colors and styles. So I was just using this printer paper to check out the inks and the page spoke to me the moment I put the colors together (Lindy’s Starbursts: Hag’s Wart Orange and Tainted Love Teal). I had already one page in my art Journal sprayed with Dylusions Pure Sunshine and I was stuck. Then I got the idea to put them all together. I torn the edges on my printer paper to fit it onto the journal page (I love distressed effect and scissors are not really my friends:) Thanks to that I got some extra texture and the Pure Sunshine spray is still nicely visible on all four sides of the journal. Then I stamped the moth image (Visible Image- Glimmer of Light) on the gelli printed piece of paper and I fussy cut it. I added some stamping in the background with script stamp and a geometric stamp of mine. Added smaller stamp of the moth on the bottom of the page and glued the big month in the opposite corner. I glued the middle part of it straight onto the page, but as I wanted to add some lift to the wings, I used 3D foam to glue the wings to the page. That added extra dimension to my project. I printed out the sentiment which I find well fitting for this project. I traced the edges of the sentence and of the page with Posca black markers and splashed some black acrylic paint (Pebeo).
I would like to take part in That’s Crafty Bright! challenge

A beautiful, bright page! I love it!

WOW Asia! This is fantastic! I adore the colors you’ve worked together and all the little details in the stamping. The moths are amazing as is this fantastic quote. Hugs, Autumn
