Trust in you- Mixed Media page

And so I am coming back with new circles🙂 They kind of happen quite often I must say, but they also bring me a lot of joy. The background here was made based on the tutorials by Marta Lapkowska– which means for me a looooot of texture, but it worked nicely. And I went out of my comfort zone ( more flat pages), which is not bad as well:)
I mimo, że z kółkami, to jednak opuściłam swoją strefę bezpieczenstwa i powstała troszkę inna strona, bardziej warstwowa niż inne mojej produkcji:)
I glued onto the journal page torn pieces of newspaper, added masking tape and them glued all sized circles I could find- stickers, jam pot paper covers, circles I’ve made with a hole puncher, etc. I put a layer of Gesso over that and than spritzed it with paints. My paints (apart from black one) were used at the beginning as the colors are not super strong and for the edges and corners I used Dylusions, of course:)- London Blue, Vibrant Turquise and Campso Teal. They are really lovely, although I dream about trying out Lindy’s Stamp Gang paints and powders. Maybe after Xmas?;) For the paints to run more freely you just need to spritz some water and turn the journal sideways. Good tip which I came across actually by myself just to find it later on the internet was to slightly burn with the heat gun the Gesso. The small white dots slightly raised- that’s exactly that;). I added some splashes of black paint over the design, traced the circles with water- soluble black pencil (although it would be better not to do it as I am not so happy with the results) and added more color inside the circles with oil-based pastels. I used also home-made printouts as a sentiments (since I just started my adventure with journaling etc, I can’t afford to buy all the things I like and I started to make my own. I am cheap like that;)
