Tis the season to be jolly- Mixed Media page

It’s not snowing yet. But the streets are already decorated for Xmas. So this is the best time, I guess, to create the winter pages. And believe it or not, the background for this page I did over one year ago and it was just there, in my Art Journal, forever. But last week I felt inspired and managed to almost finish it. Almost, because the small sentiment was added just today;) After finally finding my Christmas stamps:)
To create the background I used Dylusions Paint ( I am pretty sure it was London Blue:). The texture was created with Glitter Snow Paste and a dotted stencil. I added also some small snowflakes ( paper- cuts and small snowy balls bought I don’t even remember in which discount shop as a Xmas table deco;) Under the tree I’ve glued randomly silver thread (I am so grateful to Marta Łapkowska for giving me the idea of using threads for the background in one of her tutorials:) and added some small embellishments. The tree itself was a fun to make. I used paper tissue , soaked it in water, removed the excess and placed it on the stamp of a Christmas tree ( the stamp was just before covered with a layer of watercolors in a shades of blue). Then I pressed the moist tissue firmly to the stamp with a help of kitchen towel, removed the tissue from the stamp and let it dry overnight. Next day I simply torn the edges and pressed the same stamp once again onto the tissue using Distress Ink -Broken China. I’ve noticed that the image after drying was not as vivid as I would have liked it to be. After adding my sentiment I sprinkled all page with a Deco Ice.
